Cinephile’s Special: Receive five tickets for the price of three: $24 ($18 Walker members). (Offer does not include screenings of Danny Williams’ Factory Films on January 20.)

Following the amazing success of the inaugural edition of Expanding the Frame last year, the new series continues with bold work by filmmakers breaking the conventions of film and video. Over seven weeks, films by emerging and established international directors challenge ways we experience media. Highlights range from a film by a Polish visual artist who creates his singular take on the western genre to documentarian Jennifer Fox’s expansive globe-tracking investigation of sexuality and choices of modern womanhood to exciting new work by contemporary Romanian filmmakers freely taking on issues of pre- and post-revolutionary times to Ulrike Ottinger’s thrilling epics. Several of the filmmakers will be present to introduce their work and lead post-screening discussions.

Unless otherwise noted, all films are screened in the Cinema and are $8 ($6 Walker members). Tickets to free films available one hour prior to each screening at the Bazinet Garden Lobby desk.
