While the galleries are closed, the Walker will send art into the streets. For two months each, five internationally known artists--Yoko Ono, Frank Gaard, Takashi Murakami, Laylah Ali, and Matthew Barney--will display a commissioned work on a 14-by-48-foot billboard located northeast of the Walker and the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden on Hennepin Avenue at 12th Street in downtown Minneapolis.
The Walker Art Center's Billboard Project is made possible by generous support from Target.
